Grace and Anton were married on 4 July 2026 at Hedvig Eleonora Church, followed by a dinner in Spegelsalen, the Mirror Hall, at the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm. This is their wedding film.
Grace moved to Sweden from the US a few years ago for what was meant to be a year abroad. She stayed. This time her family crossed the Atlantic to see her marry Anton: two families, and two cultures, in one day.
Both are devoted Swifties, so it was only fitting that they shared a wedding weekend with Taylor Swift.
Getting Ready at the Grand Hôtel
When I arrived at the Grand, I went straight in to the girls: Grace, her bridesmaids (two of them her sisters), her mother, and a little niece who looked like she had only just learned to walk and sprinted around the room, wobbling and adorable. I didn’t know anyone, but I felt welcome immediately, and they kept asking if I needed anything. Everyone was so happy and expectant.
The first look with her father was the most beautiful moment of the morning.
”Tears. I’m sad I couldn’t be there, but this captures what might be the best moment.”
— A relative, watching the father-of-the-bride’s first look in the teaser
Dinner in the Mirror Hall at the Grand Hôtel
The Mirror Hall is where the very first Nobel banquet was held, in 1901. More than a century later, it was the setting for Grace and Anton’s dinner, with candles lit across the tables.
The Speeches
Grace’s father gave the speech that stayed with me most. When she was 18, he wrote her a letter: “My dear Gracie, you are a bright shining light… it is time for you to take your light into the rest of the world.”
”When I wrote those words, I saw you as a shooting star, about to launch from our home, and launch you did.”
— Grace’s father
She launched all the way to Sweden, where she collided with a star of Swedish origin: Anton.
Her move was only meant to last a year. Within six months she called home to say she had met a boy, and the reaction in the family was “oh no.” But as her sister puts it, anyone who spends five minutes with Grace and Anton can see that they are meant for each other.
Anton closed the speeches by thanking everyone who had travelled so far, and then turned to Grace: “I love you. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.”
Two Families, Two Cultures
The atmosphere was wonderful, and it was about more than two people. Two families, and two cultures, came together. Grace and Anton are so kind to each other and take care of everyone around them, guests and suppliers alike.
It was also a pleasure to work with Wedding Planner Stockholm again, as always seamless, and to work side by side with Isabelle from 2Brides for the first time, a legend in Swedish wedding photography.
”Josef did an incredible job capturing both big and small moments at our wedding. He was so kind and professional and did an amazing job of capturing what it felt like to be there. While watching our films we laughed, cried, smiled, and got to relive the day. As a multicultural couple, he did a great job of capturing the mixing of both cultures and we are so happy with all of the footage he gave us! We get so many compliments on the videos and every time we watch them we’re transported back to our perfect wedding day. We’re so happy we chose him as our videographer!”
